CONCEPT OF ART WORK
Tang Yeok Khang likes to explore the circumstances of human being, nature and manmade in a co-existence environment. Montage of realistic and symbolic images like kids, toys, animals, trees and urbanscapes, can always been found in a picture field with sense of surreal and mystery. Sometimes, he is trying to discover the metamorphic humanity value caused by urbanization yet they were left with unjudgeable dilemma.

Tang Yeok Khang was born in Bukit Mertajam, a small town in Penang, Malaysia. In 1989, at the age of 14, his art work was first collected by an art gallery’s owner. He was also a Winner of Penang Top 10 Young Artist Award at 1991. At 1994, his winning entry of ‘Malaysian Scenery’ Public Finance Art Competition was sold to Malaysian National Art Gallery. Since then, he decided to uncover the richness of artistic world.
Tang migrated to Kuala Lumpur since 1996 to study Interior Design In Malaysian Institute Of Art. Instead of practicing as an interior designer after graduated, he started his landscaping design business till 2006. After that, he fully involved in his fine art career. Recently, Tang started to exhibit, travel and paint in some of the Asia and Europe regions. Besides, he was also one of the organizing committees of Sasaran International Arts Festival 2011 in Malaysia.
